About The Arlington Music Hall:
The Arlington Music Hall has a rich history and has always been ‘the place to go’ for entertainment. Opening in 1950 as a movie theatre, the feature film ‘Sea Biscuit’ starring Shirley Temple. The movie premier was followed by a memorable on-stage performance by a local band ‘The Flying Ranch Hands’ who later became known as ‘The Light Crust Dough Boys’. Today, the marquee sign and a remnant of the original curtain, displayed in the hospitality room, are tributes to the history of this great venue.

In 1994, Johnnie High, a singer, musician, songwriter, and businessman purchased the Theatre to relocate the Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue. The Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue was a weekly variety show to showcase local talent; Old and young. Over the years, Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue opened the door for many famous people such as LeAnn Rimes, Lee Ann Womack, Shoji Tabuchi, Blake Shelton, Gary Morris, Box Car Willie, and many others.

After 31 years, Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue shuttered. The Music Hall was purchased and renovated in 2009 by Burk Collins, a local developer, and country music fan. This acquisition played a significant role to continue the history of the Music Hall – along with the revitalization of Downtown Arlington. More than $6M of capital was paid to renovate the Music Hall and re-development Center Street, adding popular restaurants such as Babe’s Chicken Dinner House.

In 2015, a group of local business owners lead by Cary Moon purchased the Arlington Music Hall complex. A non-profit 501c3 promotes concerts and brings top artists to Arlington year-round. It is our pleasure to welcome you and we hope that you enjoy your live entertainment experience at The Arlington Music Hall.
