THE OAK RIDGE BOYS’ DUANE ALLEN PRESENTS LIBERTY LEGENDS USA SUIT TO GOV. HUCKABEE DURING LATEST AIRING OF HUCKABEE

THE OAK RIDGE BOYS’ DUANE ALLEN PRESENTS LIBERTY LEGENDS USA SUIT TO GOV. HUCKABEE DURING LATEST AIRING OF HUCKABEE

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Oak Ridge Boys’ Duane Allen made an appearance on the latest airing of TBN’s HUCKABEE, to present the former Arkansas Governor with a Hart Schaffner Marx designed custom suit made for him by Liberty Legends USA. The Liberty Legends USA Series is a collaboration of Made in America businesses and leaders promoting a movement to buy American, bringing jobs and profits back to American soil.

“There is nothing more AMERICAN than an Oak Ridge Boys concert, and I’m so thrilled to salute their efforts to encourage American-made products like their signature Liberty Legends clothing line,” said Gov. Huckabee. “Recently, Duane Allen, legendary lead singer of the Oaks, presented me with a suit made in America and proudly bearing the Liberty Legends brand. I love the Oak Ridge Boys and I love the new clothing line they have helped create that is as American as they are.”

Allen, who joined the Executive Board of Directors for Liberty Legends USA, helped launch the program with a special “American Made Collection” line of suits by The Oak Ridge Boys in 2015.

“If you have ever been to The Oak Ridge Boys concert, you have heard the passion behind the group’s commitment to the spirit of America,” commented Robin Worley, Co-Founder of the Liberty Legends USA brand. “As we searched for our next legend in this mission, it was easy to see these guys have the heart and commitment to take this mission of building awareness to a new level. My childhood friend, Randall Redding, and I both grew up in a community that was devastated by NAFTA. We talked about wanting to do something for years, then in 2015 we saw our opportunity that not only would help our hometown community, but others like it across America. In collaboration with several partners, we launched a brand named Liberty Legends USA that we felt would provide a platform for leaders to support the “buy American” mission. Liberty Legends USA is a non-political platform that encourages and celebrates jobs in America. It is a movement that is not limited to American only brands, but we choose to celebrate and highlight anyone who brings jobs and/or keeps good paying jobs in America. With the help of partners like The Oak Ridge Boys, our sponsors and the growing list of endorsers, we are seeing the movement take off.”

“After spending decades traveling across the USA, I have seen the recent closing of many of our manufacturing companies, mill towns, and hometown businesses. When these places close, manufacturing is often relocated overseas, and we not only lose jobs, but Americans often must find a new line of work,” said Duane Allen. “I am happy to be a part of Liberty Legends USA with its goal of keeping our factories and our mill towns open and providing good quality Made in America products. These products might cost a little more, but they’re an investment in our country’s economy. Buying Made in America provides an opportunity for our businesses to grow, while Americans earn a fair wage.”

The Liberty Legends USA mission has gained notoriety in the infancy stages by leaders such as Ambassador Andrew Young, Governor Mike Huckabee, Ret. Major General Gary Harrell (who was featured in the movie Black Hawk Down), Dr. Richie Bland, as well as a long list of celebrity endorsers who visit the key movement sponsor, Mill Town Music Hall. The movement sponsor list is growing and now includes Mill Town Music Hall, Threads Custom Apparel, Philbeck Custom Clothiers, Diamond Gusset Jeans and Cutman Classic.

“As our name implies, we are a music hall located in what was once the men’s suit capital of the south, a mill town,” said Mill Town Music Hall owner and Liberty Legends Co-founder, Randall Redding. “We think our venue stands for what the Liberty Legends mission is all about, taking a stand for the mill towns of America and helping them rebuild. At one time, the mill towns across America were busy with factories and mills making things, and today the buildings are silent. We have famous people come through here two to three times a month, and when they learn about the Legends movement, they can’t help but want to be a part of it. Some of them buy items, other post comments on their Facebook pages, and a few like The Oak Ridge Boys feel so empowered they join it and launch their own branded items in partnership with us.”

Mill Town Music Hall serves as the fulfillment center for Liberty Legends USA items including The Oak Ridge Boys American Made Collection. Mill Town’s website and physical location in Bremen, Ga. serves as the primary store for many other Made in the USA items.

DON McLEAN WRAPS UP FIRST LEG OF INTERNATIONAL TOUR WITH SOLD OUT SHOWS AND MEDIA PRAISE

DON McLEAN WRAPS UP FIRST LEG OF INTERNATIONAL TOUR WITH SOLD OUT SHOWS AND MEDIA PRAISE

Following an extremely successful summer European tour, Don McLean returns home to the U.S. ready to hit the American tour circuit again in July, and then returning to Europe again in October for a fall run of shows.
“McLean’s concert was uplifting because it demonstrated a man doing whatever the hell he wanted after almost 50 years in the game.”

– Will Hodgkinson, The Times

“A sprawling rumination on counter-culture’s impact on the American dream. One-by-one, the largely baby boomer audience sprung up like popping corn, singing every word and confirming American Pie as their Hey Jude or Wonderwall.”

– James Hall, The Telegraph

“McLean’s own Castles in the Air is lovely, and hearing him sing ‘Vincent’ – his youthful eulogy to Van Gogh – is magical, a bucket-list moment.”

– Dave Simpson, The Guardian

“McLean has earned his place at rock’s hall of fame, and York’s sell-out crowd would have him playing still.”

– Paul Rhodes, The Press

“McLean was the consummate professional in presenting his master class of the Great American Songbook.”

– David Brinn, Jerusalem Post

“McLean’s voice remains a strong, sonorous instrument.”

– Fiona Shepherd, The Scotsman

“McLean’s songs have set the benchmark for success. Hits like ‘American Pie’, ‘Vincent’, ‘Castles in the Air’ and the beautiful ballad ‘And I Love You So’ all share the same elusive component that makes them timeless.”

– Lorraine Wylie, Irish Examiner

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Iconic American singer, songwriter and performer Don McLeanhas recently wrapped up a successful tour of the United Kingdom, Scotland, Ireland, and Israel. Playing to numerous sold out venues – from the Palladium in London, to six nights at Vicar St. in Dublin – McLean performed his timeless American classics, along with new music from his latest album Botanical Gardens,to raves from enthusiastic audiences.

“My tour of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales has ended. I never enjoyed an experience more than this. Many thanks to the very kind reviewers and the enthusiastic audiences that made this tour the best of all,” said McLean. “I send my love & sincere thanks. We will be back again someday.”

McLean is already scheduled for the second leg of his European tour this fall, with the Hall of Fame songwriter scheduled for Essen, Germany on October 1, and then visiting Holland, Switzerland and all of Scandinavia through the end of the month.

With over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide, Don McLean’s prowess for writing timeless songs has once again been captured on Botanical Gardens, his newest album, released in March via BMG. McLean artfully weaves country, Americana, folk, and boot-stomping rock for an eclectic, yet American sound that he is known for. Botanical Gardens is McLean’s 19th studio album and first in 8 years, is arguably one of Don’s most reflective to date.

As McLean characterizes it, “The inspiration for the project started years ago when I would walk in the beautiful gardens in Sydney, Australia near the Opera House. I would dream young dreams and it was a comfort and an inspiration. I was always young inside, like we all are, and I felt it again there.” Further reflecting on the record, Don says, “the whole album really revolves around the title song. Later on I realized that the gardens are really a metaphorical heaven, and there’s a kind of death and rebirth.
