Hit-making group set to release new music in 2019!
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Baillie & the Boys, gained prominence in the late 1980s as the trio (Kathie Baillie, Michael Bonagura, and Alan LeBoeuf) first found work singing harmony vocals on singles for Ed Bruce, Dan Seals, and Randy Travis, and Bonagura co-wrote Marie Osmond’s single “There’s No Stopping Your Heart”. In 1987, Baillie & the Boys were signed to a record deal with RCA Records. Their self-titled album was released that year, producing three Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles charts. Turn The Tide, their second album, was released a year later. It produced four consecutive Top 10 hits on the country charts, including “(Wish I Had A) Heart of Stone”, their highest-charting single.
“Michael and I can’t even believe it’s been so many years since we started on this journey,” says Kathie Baillie. “The resurgence of country music from the 80s and 90s is very exciting for us. We, again, are getting calls to sing harmonies on projects, perform shows at venues around the country, even some backyards, and we are making some great new music. We realize the new music won’t make it to radio, but it is fun being back in the studio.”
The band’s original lineup consisted of Kathie Baillie (lead vocals, guitar), her husband, Michael Bonagura (background vocals, guitar), and Alan LeBoeuf (bass guitar, background vocals). Citing the years of constant touring, Alan LeBoeuf left the trio in 1988. For a while, Baillie & the Boys toured as a duo, until Roger McVay was chosen as a replacement in 1995. Four years later, McVay departed, with LeBoeuf again assuming the role of bass guitarist and harmony vocalist. Now, with new music, Kathie and Michael are ready to take the music to the people again!
“Just like Kathie said, we are excited to still be doing what we love,” adds Michael Bonagura. “We have a new group of people around us working very hard to rebuild our brand, name, and awareness so things are looking up for 2019.”
The trio initially made their impact while singing on jingles for companies such as Burger King, Gallo Wine, Soft and Dry (and others) the trio was signed by industry giant Doug Morris to the Atlantic Records division Big Tree Records; releasing the group’s first Billboard charted single; “Please Don’t Tell Me Goodnight” in 1976 under the name Bittersweet.
Relocating to Nashville, TN in 1983; determined to achieve relevance in the Nashville country music scene; the groups three-part vocal harmonies soon found their place and were used by many of the biggest names in country music, including Vince Gill, Lynn Anderson, Marie Osmond, Dan Seals, Moe Bandy and many others. Their success singing harmony was such that one time you could have heard the backing vocals of Baillie & The Boys on five of Billboard’s Top 10 Ten Country Singles all in the same week, something no other group has yet to equal!
While performing at one of Music Row’s infamous night spots – The Hall Of Fame – the trio was discovered by Jeff Cook (founding member of the group Alabama) who brought them to the attention of Joe Galante (president of RCA Records) who – after hearing the trio perform a live 30 minute audition in his office – signed the act to a recording contract.
The first single, “Oh Heart”, produced by Kyle Lehning and Paul Davis, was a Billboard Top Ten Hit and was followed by 10 consecutive Billboard country hits such as “She Deserves You,” “I Can’t Turn The Tide,” “Wilder Days,” and “(Wish I Had A) Heart Of Stone.” In 1990 the group released what was to become one of their biggest hits which hit #2 on the country airplay charts; the remake of Hank Snow’s classic, “A Fool Such As I”. In 1995 Kathie Baillie entered a new phase of her career by co-hosting one of TNN’s top rated shows Yesteryear as well as hosting several award shows.
The group’s discography spans a 30 year career: Baillie And The Boys (RCA, 1987) Turn The Tide (RCA, 1988) The Lights Of Home (RCA, 1989) The Best Of (RCA, 1990) Read Between The Lines (RCA,1992) The Road That Led Me To You (Synergy, 1995) Loving Every Minute (Intersound, 1998) Baillie Family Christmas (Synergy, 2004) Angel In Chains (Synergy Soundtrack 2004) Love’s Funny That Way (Intersound, 2006) Unplugged: Baillie & the Boys Live In Concert (Synergy, 2012)

Live Bull Riding Every Friday & Saturday Night! Every Friday and Saturday night at 9 pm & 10 pm you can catch the excitement of live bull riding in the former auction ring at Billy Bob’s.
Bull riding at Billy Bob’s is conducted just like at a professional rodeo. Riders enter early in the week, pay an entry fee, and take home only what they win. Rules call for the rider to hang on for eight seconds with only one hand in the braided loose rope. The riders can earn up to 50 points for the way the bull bucks and the degree of difficulty, as well as up to 50 points for the control the cowboy shows. A perfect score of 100 has never been achieved at Billy Bob’s – and has only been reached once in the history of pro rodeo.
For contestant info and Bull Riding entries, contact Kaitlyn Shaw by phone at 214-957-8859, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
About Billy Bob’s Texas: Located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, the 100,000 square foot cattle barn became Billy Bob’s Texas in 1981. Since then more than 17 million visitors have enjoyed live entertainment and real bull riding at “The World’s Largest Honky Tonk”.
The facility can hold 6,000 rowdy patrons on a given night and has been host to hundreds of musical acts, from Alan Jackson to ZZ Top. On Fridays and Saturdays, the venue also features live bull riding – a step up from the mechanical variety. It seems like an unlikely source for a series that has sold millions of albums.
Billy Bob’s has been named the Country Music Club of the Year 10 times by the Academy of Country Music.
The FREE festival to take place Wednesday, June 12 at Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City
Kyle Dillingham has a remarkable heart for people, especially the people of Oklahoma City”- Mayor David Holt of Oklahoma City
Dillingham also wraps the 2018-2019 American Music Abroad program touring throughout Kuwait & Republic of Kosovo with major press coverage
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Americana music maestro Kyle Dillingham, known to many as Oklahoma’s Official Musical Ambassador, is once again earning his right to be referred to as such. The globe-trotting, fiddling maestro from Enid has announced his co-founding and launching of a FREE charitable music concert and festival in honor of the homeless on June 12, 6-9 pm at Myriad Botanical Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Spawned by a fortuitous Valentine’s Day encounter between Dillingham and Eddie Monarch, a homeless man in Oklahoma City, the festival is aptly named ‘Reddened Monarch Music Festival – Honoring OKC’s Homeless.’ The meeting left Dillingham inspired by Monarch’s idea of creating a music festival for the homeless, so he is making it a reality.
“Eddie told me, ‘You could put on a big concert downtown for all the homeless in OKC, and everyone else could come too. Then we would all be down there enjoying the music together,’ Dillingham commented on his encounter with Eddie Monarch. “That thought gave me chills, and I knew we had to do this. As Eddie walked away that day, he turned back around and said to me, ‘you know Kyle, you and I, we are already friends.’”
Once Dillingham began to pitch the idea of the festival’s creation, he quickly gained the support from Oklahoma City’s Mayor David Holt, whose office just recently announced the formation of the Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness, charged with developing a new unified vision for OKC as it relates to this important issue.
“Kyle Dillingham has a remarkable heart for people, especially the people of Oklahoma City,” said Mayor David Holt of Oklahoma City. “I am grateful for his vision in working with Eddie Monarch to launch this special new event. I’m very supportive of the Reddened Monarch Music Festival and I’m excited for the support and awareness this will provide to the issue of homelessness in our community.”
Also stepping up to help make Reddened Monarch a reality is local music, marketing and event organization OKSessions, and community outreach organization the 405 Center, who together have helped secure additional talent for the festival’s diverse concert lineup. The Homeless Alliance, City Care and Frontline Church are also helping with the planning and preparation of the festival.
Festival co-founder Kyle Dillingham along with Horseshoe Road band-mates Peter Markes and Brent Saulsbury, will headline the concert, with additional support from Will Carl Gaines, The Odds, Jabee, and Jynxx. The 405 Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit community outreach organization, will serve as the festival’s primary beneficiary for donations, although admission to the family-friendly festival is FREE. Donations may be made via the Clover Give App [Click to donate].
A plated dinner will be served to all the homeless by volunteers, and food truck vendors will be on site for the general public.
“For me there is before June 12th when we have nothing in common with our friends living outside; but after June 12th, we will all have this shared experience that I hope can somehow bring us closer together,” said Dillingham. “Only music can do that!”

The AMA tour raises Dillingham’s total number of international countries he’s performed in to 40. The program was organized by The Association of American Voices, and sponsored by The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
“So much incredible programming by the two US Embassies on this tour,” said Dillingham. “We had a lot of interaction with young people, and we found ourselves often saying, ‘This is the kind of day that I would give up a day of my life and travel halfway around the world for.’”
