Facing the challenges in business of the ‘new economy’, Jeremy Westby is an innovative implementer of the new multi-dimensional model in the entertainment industry.
His executive experience has been achieved “ground up” within the industry from day-to-day road management and intra-label involvement with some of Christian music’s top bands, to his transition back into mainstream to establish a new diversity of services for various clientele.
Westby is adept at creating globally impactful publicity and marketing campaigns, vital for career development and ongoing representation. His emphasis on the lost art of personal relationships has led to strong ties with top TV producers in New York, Nashville and Los Angeles who are on hand not only to take his calls, but book clients assembled under his banner. The result has been a series of “wins” in the television medium—with a diverse array of programs – a tracking that few media professionals have been able to consistently score.
His ability to translate careers into relevant media opportunities and unique events is also diverse—from Dolly Parton to Meat Loaf, from Megadeth to KC and The Sunshine Band, to The Oak Ridge Boys—complete media tours have surrounded their projects to achieve high levels of visibility and success.
When excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence combine with hands-on experience and a genuine return to the model of “serving the client” – the sky is the limit.
The first thing you should know about Jason is that he’s a bit of a music-junkie without genre boundaries. His career in music began from humble roots, organizing and promoting concerts, shows and managing bands while in college in the late 90’s.
In 2002, he became the first person to organize a rock n’ roll show aboard the Belle of Louisville, an early 20th century popular river steamboat. In 2003, in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, Jason helped launch a popular lifestyle magazine where music and live entertainment were a big editorial focus.
That lead him into music journalism which became his primary focus; writing for a variety of regional and national websites and magazines through 2016.
Jason has also developed a solid history of project management, marketing communications, and event / trade show / conference production from a few non-music industry career paths he chose from 2007- 2016.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisville, and studied in Paris, France during his college tenure.
In 2018, he is refocusing his heart and mind to serving the artist’s marketing, PR and publicity requirements. With a finely-tuned attention to the “art” in music and live entertainment, he will bring a sincere approach to all client’s of 2911 Media, no matter how big or small they may be.
