On Tuesday, March 22, Helping a Hero and Bass Pro Shops will break ground on a wheelchair accessible and specially adapted home for LCpl Eric Frazier, USMC (Ret), a double amputee injured in Iraq. Country Music Icon and Helping a Hero National Ambassador, Lee Greenwood joined Johnny Morris, Founder of Bass Pro Shops and noted conservationist, on September 10, 2021, in Hendersonville, TN to surprise Frazier with the news he would receive a Helping a Hero home. Frazier is excited that Lee Greenwood will close out the groundbreaking ceremony by singing “God Bless The USA”. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this patriotic celebration to say “thank you” to LCpl Frazier for his service and sacrifice for our nation.

LEE GREENWOOD TO MAKE A SPECIAL APPEARANCE AND PERFORM AT 2021 LONE STAR RALLY PRIOR TO VETERAN’S DAY
Award-winning American patriot Lee Greenwood, known for his beloved anthem “God Bless The USA”, is scheduled to make a special appearance at the 2021 Lone Star Rally in Galveston, Texas on Thursday, November 4th. Greenwood will take to the Miller Lite main stage at Saengerfest Park at 2300 Strand Blvd on Galveston Island at 7 pm, followed by Colt Ford.
Just before the concert, Lee Greenwood will host a bottle signing in partnership with Soldier Valley Spirits from 2-4 pm, to benefit multiple veteran organizations. Greenwood will continue bottle signings at 7:45 pm, immediately following his performance.

Helping a Hero and Bass Pro Shops held a ceremony Friday, September 10th in Nashville, Tennessee to award accessible homes to LCpl Eric Frazier (USMC, Ret.) who lost his legs in Iraq, and SGT Antonio Mullen, USA (Ret.) and their families. Country music icon Lee Greenwood, the National Ambassador of Helping a Hero, Grand Ole Opry member John Conlee, award-winning singer Tony Orlando, along with Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, Kelley Paul, wife of Senator Rand Paul and General Rob Givens, USAF (Ret.), Corp. Sue Downes and Shilo Harris celebrated with the deserving veterans and their families.
Fellow Performers & Friends Remember Don Everly
Don Everly, half of The Everly Brothers duo with his brother Phil, died Saturday in Nashville at age 84. The Everly Brothers are Country Music Hall of Fame members, inducted in 2001, and were instrumental in shaping rock and roll with such global classics as “Bye Bye Love,” “Wake Up, Little Susie,” and “All I Have To Do Is Dream.” The Everly Brothers were also members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry.
