HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Jan. 06, 2026) – Today, producers of an All-Star Salute To ‘90s Country announced additional talent that will be performing during the television special taping on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at The Propst Arena in the Von Braun Center. The fourth in a series of television shows, this production will highlight artists and songs that were made famous in the 1990’s era of country music, with original hit songs being performed by the original artists that made them hits. Aaron Tippin, Terry McBride of McBride & The Ride, Carlene Carter, T. Graham Brown, and Ken Mellons join the growing list of ‘90s era artists to perform.
In addition, a few special “throwback moments” will grace the stage to highlight a few select artists that were standouts in the 1980s era of Country music with award wins and songs that topped the charts. A few of those selected artists and songs include; 1983 & 1984 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Lee Greenwood performing his Grammy-winning song “I.O.U.,” 1982 & 1983 Female Vocalist of the Year Janie Fricke performing her chart-topping single “It Ain’t Easy Bein’ Easy”, 1987 ACM Top Vocal Group of the Year The Forester Sisters performing “I Fell In Love Again Last Night” which will also mark the ladies first time singing together in Alabama in over 30 years.
Jamey Johnson and Aaron Lewis, both artists not known for ‘90s hits, will honor the late George Jones and late Waylon Jennings, respectively, as both artists had songs on the charts in the ‘90s era of Country music. Michael Ray will also be performing, honoring a late artist to be announced.
Eric Blankenship will kick-off the night’s performance during the pre-show festivities that will start at 6:40p.m. local time.
“This show is going to be one that is talked about for years to come. Getting so many artists together to sing their hits that everyone will remember is very exciting,” says executive producer Frank Matassa of LMA Productions, Inc. “The songs, the artists, the memories, and the final television show is going to be something very special for the television audience.”
The producers of this special, which is slated to air nationally on PBS, also brought the Emmy nominated TV special ‘An All-Star Salute to Lee Greenwood,’ the Emmy-Award winning PBS special ‘Still Playin’ Possum: Music and Memories of George Jones,’ and the ‘Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon’ special which is currently being shopped for broadcast.
